NMVO Instructions

Follow these instructions to download the certificate and then install it on your computer (required for access to the NMVS Portal). And to change the password of your NMVS account.

On nmvo.nl/certificaat-installeren-video, there is a video with an explanation (starting at 20 seconds) regarding the instructions below.

Download the certificate:

  1. Go to the NMVS PKI Portal: portal-prod-nl.nmvs.eu/NMVS_GUI/#/pki.
  2. Enter the details from the received letter:
    1. Client id/User name: username from the letter with the addition APOTHEEK/ (e.g. APOTHEEK/1234567)
    2. Password: password from the letter
    3. TAN code: TAN code from the letter
  3. Choose the security type of the certificate; the most commonly used is SHA-1.
  4. Then click Download and save the certificate in a safe place on your computer.
  5. A passphrase is displayed on the page; this is the password for the certificate and you will need it later, so store the passphrase in a safe place.

Installing the certificate (Windows):

If you are using a different operating system and need help with the installation of the certificate, please contact us via support@nmvo.nl.

  1. Go to the (download) folder where you saved the certificate.
  2. Double-click the file (username.p12) to open the 'Import Certificate' wizard. If you receive an error message, you probably do not have the correct permissions on the computer you are working on.
  3. Click Next under 'Archive location' (leave this set to Current user).
  4. Click Next again under 'Filename' (do not change anything).
  5. Enter the passphrase you received when downloading the certificate in the 'Password' field and click Next.
  6. Then leave the selection for 'Automatically the certificate archive…' and click Next.
  7. Click Finish on the final screen to complete the import. The certificate is now installed.

Changing the password:

  1. Go to the NMVS Portal: portal-prod-nl.nmvs.eu/NMVS_GUI.
  2. The browser prompts you to use the certificate you just installed. If this is not prompted, you must open an ' incognito/private window ' in the browser and then open the NMVS Portal within it
  3. Enter the details from the received letter:
    1. Client id/User name: username from the letter with the addition APOTHEEK/ (e.g. APOTHEEK/1234567)
    2. Password: from the letter
  4. Then click on Login.
  5. You will most likely now be asked to change your password. Change your password; you will need it later to log in to the NMVS Portal or to connect to the NMVS from your (software) system.
  6. If you do not receive a notification that your password needs to be changed, please follow the steps below to do so.
  7. After logging into the NMVS Portal, click on your username APOTHEEK/123456 (at the top of the left menu) and then on 'User settings'.
  8. Click on 'Change password' to go to the page where you can change your password.
  9. Enter a new password twice and click 'Change password' to change your password.
  10. Store your password in a safe place, for example with a Password Manager; you will need it later to log in to the NMVS Portal or to connect to the NMVS from your (software) system.

Install in your FMD software:

After you have completed all the steps above, the certificate still needs to be installed in your software. To do this, follow the “software instructions” located below this text.

Software instructions

Instructions for installing the NMVS certificate and password for the various (software) systems.

Configure username and password within EPIC. Install the certificate with passphrase on your own servers. Consult the Galaxy documentation for more information or contact EPIC support.

For the connection with the NMVS, the FMD user must be adjusted in HiX itself and in the configuration of the connection on the Comez to determine the correct certificate when sending FMD messages.

HiX
In HiX, you can only have one active FMD user per (hospital) location. When converting an FMD user, the data of the new FMD user can be immediately overwritten (overruled) using the [Modify] button for the existing FMD user per (hospital) location. Separately deleting or deleting the old FMD user is not necessary in this scenario. How to create and edit FMD users is described in the FMD manual. Perform this action for all locations that are receiving a different FMD user.

Comez
On the connection within Comez, you still need to link the new certificate to the correct FMD user (the certificate basically has the same name as the FMD user). You must first install the new certificate or certificates in the standard way (under the localmachine certificate store). After that, you can link the new certificates to the correct user via the watchlist in the FMD connection; you need to do this in two places. Follow these steps:

– Locate the FMD instance within Comez Control, click 'Refresh', and then 'Show main';
– Click on the 'FMD_SOAP_OUT' port;
– Click 'Watchlist' at the bottom;
– Select the 'FMDMainData' watchlist from the list on the left.

Here you will find 2 elements where the certificate is determined, one for logging out of the barcodes and one for automatically changing the password.

  • Click on the 'ServerCertificateName' element in the list.
  • The old FMD user codes should still be here; change them to the new FMD user codes.
  • Save this using the 'Update and commit' button.
  • Does the same for the 'ServerCertificateNameUserPW' element; note that the first part of the function differs.
  • Save this as well using the 'Update and commit' button.
  • Then close this screen.
  • Next, right-click on the white instance block and select 'FLUSHOBJECTS' (reload FMD users), right-click on the white instance block again and select 'RESTART'.

Following this, the connection has been updated, and you can deregister barcodes via the new FMD users.
