Nog 5 weken tot het einde van de soft launch: weer veel scans maar nog steeds teveel fouten. Test daarom al uw scanners met onze testcode. En verder: software update van NMVS, tips voor central filling en uitnodiging webinar 5 september (English below).

Bijna twee miljoen scans in een week

In week 34 scanden in totaal 1695 apotheken samen 1,8 miljoen keer een of meer 2D-codes. Dat betekent dat elke dag honderdduizenden receptplichtige geneesmiddelen in de legale distributieketen worden gecontroleerd op hun echtheid en veiligheid. Hoewel de invoering van het systeem een grote opgave is voor de keten, zijn er al grote stappen gemaakt. Prioriteit tot het einde van de soft launch heeft het verminderen van het aantal onterechte alerts. Daarom herhalen we de scannertest uit de vorige nieuwsbrief.

 

2D testcode

Vorige week plaatsten we de eerste testcode. Deze week hebben we een nieuwe 2D-datamatrix om uw scanners te testen. Mede op basis van uw feedback maken we deze test. We merken dat in de praktijk de resultaten nog weleens verschillen, ook met identieke scanners en systemen. Het is daarom belangrijk om deze test bij al uw scanners uit te voeren.

1.Controleer of de scanner is aangesloten op de computer waarop u gaat testen.
2. Open Kladblok of Word. DUS NIET TESTEN IN UW AIS!

Aangepaste alert codes EMVO

Vorige week zijn door EMVO de alerts voorzien van een nieuwe omschrijving. Dit op verzoek van de OBP’s om duidelijker te maken waarom een alert is gegenereerd. Alleen de onderstaande beschrijvingen zijn veranderd, de overige alerts zijn ongewijzigd. We zetten ze voor u op een rijtje:

Interface v2.0 stopt

Er gaat de komende tijd nog meer veranderen ‘aan de achterkant’. Voor AIS-leveranciers is het belangrijk om te weten dat de 2.0-versie van de interface met het EMVS wordt uitgefaseerd. Velen hebben dat al gedaan, op een enkele plek wordt deze interface nog gebruikt. Mocht dat bij u nog zo zijn dan neemt de NMVO binnenkort contact met u op om samen aan een oplossing te werken.

NCA rapportage

Binnenkort is de verplichte aansluiting van de NCA, de National Competent Authority op het NMVS een feit. De IGJ is voor Nederland de NCA en kan dit najaar volgens de bevoegdheden die voortvloeien uit het FMD zelfstandig uit het systeem rapportages opvragen. Die gaan ondermeer over het aantal aanmeldingen, het gebruik van het NMVS  en de hoeveelheden en locaties van de alerts. Uiteraard kan de IGJ in het geval van een mogelijke vervalsing de benodigde systeemdata in de vorm van een pack audit trail inzien.

Performance issues

Sommige deelnemers die vooral in de nacht actief zijn hebben de laatste weken gemerkt dat het systeem gedurende de nacht steeds trager reageerde. De NMVO heeft deze klachten verzameld en neergelegd bij de leverancier. Na ons eigen onderzoek bleek al snel dat Nederland niet het enige getroffen land was. We hebben daarom aangedrongen op een snelle oplossing. Tijdelijk is het systeem dagelijks herstart. Door de duale inrichting op twee locaties  heeft u daar niets van gemerkt. Eind deze week worden na het succesvol afsluiten van de testfase de eerste emergency fixes uitgerold en is het probleem definitief opgelost.

Uitgelicht: voorkom dubbel scannen in Central filling

Centrall fill-verpakkingen worden in de central fill-apotheek gescand en afgemeld. Als deze verpakkingen in de apotheek opnieuw worden gescand, geeft dit een foutmelding. Na het einde van de soft launch op 1 oktober moet elke alert worden onderzocht voordat het product verder gedistribueerd wordt. Voorkom daarom het dubbel scannen van central fill-verpakkingen in de apotheek en bespaar uzelf de tijd en moeite van het melden van een alert.

Uitnodiging Skype update

Op donderdag 5 september 13:00-14:00 organiseert NMVO een webinar.

NMVO nodigt alle organisaties die als deelnemer van de stichting NMVO zijn geregistreerd uit voor dit webinar. Het webinar heeft als doel de deelnemers van de stichting NMVO te informeren over de voortgang van het Nederlandse NMVS, mede met het oog op het naderende einde van de ‘soft launch’, en de mogelijkheid te bieden voor deelnemers om vragen te stellen. Indien u nog geen deelnemer bent van de Stichting NMVO, kunt u zich hier registreren.

Aanmelden voor het webinar kan door een mail te sturen naar info@nmvo.nl. Vermeld in de e-mail welke organisatie u vertegenwoordigt. Per organisatie kunnen maximaal twee personen deelnemen. Voorafgaand aan het webinar ontvangt u een uitnodiging waarmee u kunt deelnemen via Skype for business.

Almost two million scans in a week

In week 34, a total of 1695 pharmacies together scanned 1.8 million times one or more 2D codes. That means that every day hundreds of thousands of prescription medicines in the legal distribution chain are checked for their authenticity and safety. Although the introduction of the system is still a major task for the chain, major steps have already been taken. The priority until the end of the soft launch is to reduce the number of false alerts. That is why we repeat the scanner test from the previous newsletter.

2D test code

Last week we placed the first test code. This week we have a new 2D data matrix to test your scanners. Partly based on your feedback, we make this test. We notice that in practice the results sometimes differ, even with identical scanners and systems. It is therefore important to perform this test on all your scanners.

1.Check whether the scanner is connected to the computer on which you are testing.
2. Open Notepad or Word. SO DO NOT TEST IN YOUR AIS!
3. Scan the code below:

Amended EMVO alert codes

Last week EMVO provided some alerts with a new description after a request made by OBPs to clarify why an alert was generated. Only the descriptions below have changed, the other alerts are unchanged.

Interface v2.0 stops

In the coming period, more will change “at the back”. For AIS suppliers it is important to know that the 2.0 version of the interface with the EMVS is being phased out. Many have already done that, but sometimes this interface is still used. If that is still the case, NMVO will contact you shortly to work together on a solution.

NCA reporting

The mandatory connection of the NCA, the National Competent Authority to the NMVS, will soon be a fact. The IGJ is the NCA for the Netherlands and can request reports from the system independently in accordance with the competences arising from the FMD. These concern, among others, the number of registrations, the use of the NMVS and the quantities and locations of the alerts. Of course, in the event of a possible falsification, the IGJ can view the required system data in the form of a pack audit trail.

Performance issues

Some participants who are mainly active during the night have recently noticed that the system reacted slower during the night. NMVO has collected these complaints and has deposited them with our supplier. Soon after our own investigation, it turned out that the Netherlands was not the only affected country. We have therefore called for a rapid solution. The system has temporarily been restarted daily. You have not noticed anything because of the dual layout at two locations. At the end of this week, after the successful completion of the test phase, the first emergency fixes will be rolled out and the problem will be definitively resolved.

Highlighted: avoid double scanning in Central filling

Centrall fill packages are scanned and signed off at the central fill pharmacy. If these packages are rescanned in the pharmacy, this gives an error message. After the end of the soft launch on October 1, each alert must be investigated before the product is further distributed. Therefore, avoid double scanning of central fill packages in the pharmacy and save yourself the time and effort of reporting an alert.

Het bestuur van NMVO heeft op 9 april 2019 een beleidsrichtlijn vastgesteld ten aanzien van de toegang tot en het gebruik en de uitwisseling van gegevens uit het NMVS met derden. Hiermee maakt NMVO helder wie er toegang heeft of mag krijgen tot welke data uit het NMVS, onder welke voorwaarden. De volledige beleidsrichtlijn vindt u hier.
